Editor's note I have to admit, I had some feelings this week -- feelings I'd not had for an awfully long time. In the end I worked out what it was: excitement for an upcoming Microsoft product! Yes folks, those new Surface tablets pierced the veil of cynicism and made me think that if done right, the device could be a winner. That is a massive "if", given that Redmond doesn't have the best track record in hardware, and that the final specs, price, and launch dates are still unconfirmed. Until a Surface is seen in the flesh, I will continue my ongoing battles against Fedora and Gentoo.
