I'm thinking of setting up cloned machines running VMware, but I have never deployed this setup before. I need to provide 100% (or as close as possible to it) redundancy in case of hardware failure for a hosted phone system. I am espescially worried about mac address issues because of licensing issues with the phone system. If anyone has any ideas on this topic, ANY help would be much appreciated. -- flukeshot >> Answer the Question | Wanted: Your Best Tips and Tricks If you have cool tips or tricks that you'd like to share with your TechRepublic peers -- from navigating your OS, keyboard shortcuts, or even uncovering hidden Easter eggs -- simply click here to send them in. It's lighter than laptop but more convenience to work than ipad or smartphone. For security purpose, I'll double or triple my netbook security. always create encrypted disk or folder." -- Aurello | ............................................................................................. | I voted for Gates because... "Gates did more to boost third party technology (thus Technology as a hole) by creating software (AKA bloated)that forced people to created better and faster hardware to keep up with it. Jobs improved technology, but basically only within his products. Now if you had to choose which man is a better Messiah for their receptive religion (Apple vs. Microsoft) Jobs would win hands down. Jobs has more mindless followers with excess disposable cash than Gates could ever have." -- pcgarts | ............................................................................................. | RE: Remembering Forbidden Planet actress Anne Francis "I'm 62 years old. My parents took both my sister and I to a "drive in movie". I was 8 years old at the time. Forbidden Planet had such a profound effect on me, that for the rest of my life I was drawn time and again to science classes and every book I could get my hands on. The DVD copy of the movie is available from Turner Films. I hardily recommend you buy it and prepare yourself for a real treat of great SciFy produced in this or any other time period."-- fastfriend | | | | |
