Editor's note News arrived this week that Microsoft has consolidated the number of Windows 8 editions. There will be less confusion as regular consumers no longer have to decide between Home Basic and Home Premium versions of Windows, and for the more technical of us, Windows 8 Pro will be the choice. The renaming of Windows on ARM to Windows RT, when there exists the WinRT API already, is puzzling.
